Adventure Tours Near North West Cameroon

In the region that lies near North West Cameroon are verdant West African rainforests and the biggest mountain in this part of the world, which lies in Cameroon. There is miles of beautiful coastline you can enjoy. We travel to the glorious Bamenda Highlands. The far-flung kingdom of Esu is the key to a truly African adventure.

Travellers may add on trips to their holiday, for example a climb up the slopes of Mount Cameroon, or a day at the 1260 sq. km Korup National Park, to see the local birdlife and mammals.

There is plenty to do in the region, which is not far from North West Cameroon. Firstly you will visit Limbe, a friendly fishing town with a wildlife centre. It is a sanctuary for gorillas, chimpanzees, baboons and other primates caught up in the bush meat trade.

Your Journey Begins in Limbe

Make the most of lovely Limbe. The botanical gardens, Mount Cameroon and much smaller Mount Etinde, fresh fish barbecues on Down Beach, the local daily and weekly markets… there is plenty to enjoy here.

Quick Stop in Bamenda

We will then journey for 1.5 days to reach the Bamenda highlands. We stay there overnight, then go onto Esu the next day, along the ring road with its amazing natural scenery.

Esu: Kingdom At The End Of The Road

The 'kingdom at the end of the road' is just that - a remote community of villages which lies where the road does not go onwards to places like North West Cameroon. Visitors stay to experience the landscape, people and their culture, which stretches back to ancient times in the lands where humanity began.

About Kingdom at the end of the road (Christmas trip)

The Kingdom At The End Of The Road is a 10 day trip in Cameroon. Your journey begins in the seaside town of Limbe before making your way to Esu while stopping off in Bamenda along the way. The trip is called The Kingdom At The End Of The Road because Esu is literally at the end of the road. There is no pass through Esu nor can you travel left or right of the community. The community is surrounded by rolling hills, mountains and valleys and no road from the highlands and across the lowland plain to the Nigerian border.
